Here is a list of the many things the band boosters does for your child.
- feeds the students before every home football game, cost to student $0
- Buys trophies for the annual banquet and competition
- Buys new music (avg. cost per song $85)
- Helps purchase new uniforms, clean and alter them as well (avg. cost $1200)
- Helps defray cost on t-shirts and sweatshirts for students
- Pays for VBODA festival @ 3.25 per student
- Awards a $500 band scholarship each year to a deserving senior
- Sponsors various fundraisers so students can earn money
- Provides occasional snacks on trips
- Pays 1/2 of all district weekend for those students that make the band
- Helps students with equipment on and off the field at competitions
- Runs and maintains concession stand for home football games
- Feeds students snacks and lunch every day during band camp
- Takes care of annual end of band camp dinner after first performance of band
- Construct and maintain the Bluestone Band website
You participation is just as important to the band as your child's. Please make an effort to support your child and the band.
